Welcome To PuzzleMagic.

Hi. My name is David Mivshek. I enjoy solving crossword puzzles, and I've discovered that I have a knack for creating them too. To give crossword puzzle enthusiasts (like yourself) a chance to solve them, I've started this interactive PuzzleMagic. blog. Yes, that's right, my puzzles are interactive; meaning, you can play them without peeling your lazy eyes from your computer screen. Just click on the puzzles' squares and type in the answers' letters.

My crossword puzzle grids and clues were produced 100% manually; in other words, no computer auto-generated crossword puzzles here! Anyone can select a few parameters, like grid-size and word-count, push a "create crossword" button, and watch their computer make a crossword puzzle for them. There's no art in that! No challenge! Plus, I follow standard crossword puzzle grid-creation guidelines to create crossword puzzles like the ones published in major newspapers—yes, there's rules for creating crossword puzzle grids, and they're actually pretty frustrating when you think you've created your first marvelous crossword but then soon realize a rule was broken and you have to start all over!

I'm not claiming that my crossword puzzles are any better than ones published in a newspaper, a magazine, a puzzle book, or another blog. All I'm really hoping for is that you'll be challenged enough to come back time and time again to solve more of my puzzles. (http://puzzlemagic.blogspot.com/ —Click the "Join this site" button in the "Followers" tab in the side bar to the right or right click over the link to my page to add me to your "Favorites" list, or you might forget to and not get the chance to solve a puzzle of mine.)

Besides solving my puzzles, critique them. A purpose of my blog is to hone my skill at creating crossword puzzles, so I can provide you with the best crossword puzzles I can possibly make. I've allowed comments to be posted, with moderation (to weed out the weirdos who leave their weirdo messages), so get as specific as you want in your critique. For example, tell me about a crossword clue of mine that you thought was clever—which, I expect many will be (of course)—or bash me for a bad crossword puzzle answer, like one that doesn't match its clue correctly—which, probably will never happen (I hope).

That's it! Happy crossword-ing! My first puzzle will be published in a few days (after pinning down the setting-up of this blog).
